Dear Healthcare Provider,

If you have ever felt that knowing a "little Spanish" or having a better understanding of the Hispanic culture would improve your communication with your patients, then please consider our training.

We are two professionals who have been providing multicultural training for the NM State Department of Health and for medical centers across the state for the past four years.

This current workshop is for the busy practitioner with limited time, but high interest. We are offering an intensive nine hours of training where we will review the health issues, culture and selected epidemiology of the Hispanic people of NM. In addition, we will provide you with beginning Spanish language training as needed in your work setting. Oral practice, paper and pencil exercises and role-playing scenarios will be used to teach you some basic Spanish vocabulary that you can begin using with your patients immediately. The federal CLAS Standards (Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Standards) also will be presented, and their implication for your practice will be discussed.

The class size will remain small, less than 15, in order to provide you with a one-to-one intense training experience. Please review the enclosed flyer for further information on the workshop or call us at 505-217-8655, if you have further questions.

We are pleased to be a part of improving the healthcare of the Hispanic people in New Mexico and feel that you will take more than you can imagine from the intensive training that we offer.
